No offence to the author of JuHu, but it was a giant steaming pile that crashed if you even looked at it funny. Getting Tweetie to support Jaiku would be awesome. It already supports multiple accounts, so multiple service might work. Biggest hurdle would likely be the 140 char assumption made about Twitter. And Tweetie already tries to fake conversation threats for Twitter, so mapping in the real comments of Jaiku shouldnt be too big of a deal.
The real problem is convincing atebits of the value in supporting Jaiku since Google has left it to wither and die...
I really hoped that the author of Mauku would port the app over to the iPhone, but it never happened. And it's annoying that whoever wrote the mJaiku app abandoned it so now I can't even use it with the current version of Jaiku. I mean, mJaiku was lacking a lot of features (mainly because of the API's lack of functionality, but at least it was something. The m.Jaiku.com is alright, but no push notifications and lack of media sharing (again, the API's fault) makes Jaiku a shell of its former self.

we had juhu (that was pretty good) but since jaiku got upgraded to gae, it stopped working...
